How It Happened

The PMRDA initiated the ring road project to address the growing traffic issues in Pune. Building on the success of TP schemes in Mahalunge and Maan, PMRDA has outlined 20 town planning schemes in its draft development plan for organized growth along ring road. The ring road project involves the acquisition of land from private, government, and forest areas.

Despite challenges, significant progress has been made for ring road, with 72% of the required land already acquired. The project is being developed in collaboration with the MSRDC, which has taken over a 40-kilometer stretch for development.
